Fashion Guru Calls Adele 'Fat'

Fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld put his designer-clad foot in it during an interview with a Paris newspaper, calling singing sensation Adele “too fat”. The Chanel designer has been branded “vile" and a “cretin” after slating the singer, saying “The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.”

He then went on to praise waif-like singer Lana Del Rey, saying “Lana Del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful.”

His controversial remarks have highlighted the discrimination that goes on in the fashion world, with fresh claims being made that it causes insecurities and encourages women to crash diet to achieve extreme and unhealthy weights.

Adele fans were outraged and vented their anger online. Adele herself has apparently always embraced her fuller figure. She once said “It’s never been an issue. At least, I’ve never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue.”

Has Lagerfield looked in the mirror recently? Beauty is in the soul, perhaps this is why he always wears the dark glasses, he may not have one. At least all Adele's bits are in proportion, check his shoulders and head!!!!

Poor "Lana Del Ray" famously had to change her name, change her lips and do goodness knows what else to earn this superficial adulation. Adelle's voice speaks for itself. Maybe she should return the favour. How about: "The thing at the moment is Lagerfeld. He's a little too botoxed and injected with fillers, which looks downright grotesque on a man of a certain age. But he makes some beautiful clothes."
