The rapper, previously of 'So Solid Crew', said in a magazine interview that he and Cheryl became close after her split with Ashley Cole.
The singer strongly denied his claims and the argument became heated, with Cheryl tweeting: “Was this “relationship” happening in your head @harveyofficial ?! Are you smoking something?..
..@harveyofficial I think I’ve met you once maybe twice at public events and with your wife! #s**tjustgetsweirder.”
The 32-year-old rapper was married to Cheryl’s friend, 'Britain’s Got Talent' judge Alesha Dixon, until he cheated with singer Javine Hylton in 2006.
The rapper hit back at Cheryl, tweeting that he has proof of the secret relationship: “Do you actually want me to tweet some of the messages you emailed me @cherylcole pipe down and stop playing the saint in front of your fans.”
“I had your back @cherylcole until you sent that s**t. Disappointed in you if the public seen these emails you would end up with egg on your face.”
He continued with a barrage of insults, saying: “And let’s get this straight @cherylcole I don’t need no hype of you! I’d rather go broke and work in Sainsbury’s than talk about your personal s**t.”
But Harvey seemed to realise the error of his ways and made an attempt at an apology, saying: “This is not Twitter beef. I still have massive respect for you but you shouldn’t of tweeted that knowing we both have personal messages to each other #silenceinthecourt”
